The Third Prayer Watch of The Day

We thank you Lord for the opportunity to come before your presence during this prayer watch 12pm – 3pm. As we commit our way and understanding to You Lord, we trust that You will bring it all to pass. Thank you for your righteousness and justice that lights up my life like the brightness of the noonday sun.

Psalm 37:5-6
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.

What Happens During This Watch:

During the prayer watch 12pm – 3pm, this watch brings us into what’s called the midday, noon, sixth hour of the day or the fullness of Day. The midday is the fullness of the day and it is the beginning of the sixth hour. This is the time that the sun is at its fullest, and should yield its optimum best.  It is a time for the shaking of foundations and judgement. It is a time for divine guidance and for deliverance from evil and wickedness.

Scriptures For Midday

John 4:6
Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime.

Matthew 27:45
“The Death of Jesus”
At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock.

Acts 26:13
About noon, Your Majesty, as I was on the road, a light from heaven brighter than the sun shone down on me and my companions.

Jeremiah 15:8
There will be more widows
than the grains of sand on the seashore.
At noontime I will bring a destroyer
against the mothers of young men.
I will cause anguish and terror
to come upon them suddenly.

Job 11:13-20
If only you would prepare your heart
and lift up your hands to him in prayer!
Get rid of your sins,
and leave all iniquity behind you.
Then your face will brighten with innocence.
You will be strong and free of fear.
You will forget your misery;
it will be like water flowing away.
Your life will be brighter than the noonday.
Even darkness will be as bright as morning.
Having hope will give you courage.
You will be protected and will rest in safety.
You will lie down unafraid,
and many will look to you for help.
But the wicked will be blinded.
They will have no escape.
Their only hope is death.

During This Third Prayer Watch Pray For:

1.   Abiding in the Secret Place of the Most High

This is the time to pray that you dwell in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty, and making the Most High your habitation. It is under His wings that you will find safety and shelter from all evil. The disaster that strikes at midday will not be able to find or touch you as you abide in the secret place of the Most High God.

Psalm 91:1-8
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord:

This is also the time to exercise your God given dominion as you operate in the love of God and let your light shine brighter until the full light of day is attained.

Pray that your life would be bright and that the sun will yield its best and most precious fruit to you. This is the time to pray not to be led into any temptation, trap or snare of the enemy.

Proverbs 4:18
The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.

Isaiah 59:9-11
It is because of all this evil that you aren’t finding God’s blessings; that’s why he doesn’t punish those who injure you. No wonder you are in darkness when you expected light. No wonder you are walking in the gloom. No wonder you grope like blind men and stumble along in broad daylight, yes, even at brightest noontime, as though it were the darkest night! No wonder you are like corpses when compared with vigorous young men!  You roar like hungry bears; you moan with mournful cries like doves. You look for God to keep you, but he doesn’t. He has turned away.

3. Pray Against Destruction

Noontime is a time that brings forth destruction and judgement. This is a time to ask the Lord to forgive you of any disobedience and sin in your heart. Ask the Lord to deliver you from all sickness and disease. Pray and cut off all satanic arrows that are released at this time. It is during this prayer watch that you shall receive justice.  Pray that the destruction at noontime will not touch you, or your family.

Psalm 91:6-7
You will have no fear of diseases that come in the dark or terrible suffering that comes at noon. A thousand people may fall dead at your side or ten thousand right beside you, but nothing bad will happen to you!

Deuteronomy 28:28-29
The Lord will strike you with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart and mind; and you will be groping at noon [in broad daylight], just as the blind grope in the darkness, and nothing you do will prosper; but you will only be oppressed and exploited and robbed continually, with no one to save you.
