Prayer Watches Of The Day 3PM – 6PM
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this opportunity to come before your presence during these prayer watches of the day 3PM – 6PM. Speak to our hearts during this time as we enter into Your presence behind the veil.
Acts 3:1
Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock daily prayer meeting.

Understanding The Prayer Watches:
The prayer watches of the day 3PM – 6PM is the watch in which Jesus was on the cross and said “It is finished.” At 3:00 pm Jesus gave up the ghost. Jesus endured 6 hours of suffering from 9am-3pm for the deliverance of all mankind. The veil was torn in the temple so that we may receive access to the Father through Jesus Christ our mediator. This prayer watch between 3pm – 6pm is also known as the transformation watch and the time of access. Three o’clock PM is the only hour in the Bible that is specifically referred to as the Hour of Prayer.

Pray For Willing Workers
The Father has sent us into the vineyard to work. In the end He will pay us and reward us for what is right. During this watch, pray for a willingness to work and building the Kingdom of God.
Pray that believers will not stand around waiting for someone to give them a job, position or title. Pray Lord of The harvest will send laborers into the field to work.
About nine o’clock the man went to the marketplace and saw some other people standing there. They were doing nothing. So he said to them, ‘If you go and work in my field, I will pay you what your work is worth.’ So they went to work in the vineyard.
“The man went out again about twelve o’clock and again at three o’clock. Both times he hired some others to work in his vineyard. About five o’clock the man went to the marketplace again. He saw some other people standing there. He asked them, ‘Why did you stand here all day doing nothing?’
“They said, ‘No one gave us a job.’
“The man said to them, ‘Then you can go and work in my vineyard.’
Time To Call Upon The Name of The Lord
Pray during this prayer watch for the Lord rescue and deliver you. This is a time to call out to the Lord ” Remember me Lord and please don’t forsake me.” Call on the name of the Lord for healing, deliverance and salvation for the lost. Darkness is covering this world like a blanket, but the true light Jesus is arising in his children. Pray for people to come into His marvelous light and be saved.
At noon the whole country became dark. The darkness continued for three hours. About three o’clock Jesus cried out loudly, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” This means “My God, my God, why have you left me alone?”
Some of the people standing there heard this. They said, “He is calling Elijah.”
Quickly, one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled the sponge with sour wine and tied the sponge to a stick. Then he used the stick to give the sponge to Jesus to get a drink from it.
But the others said, “Don’t bother him. We want to see if Elijah will come to save him.”
Pray God’s Will Be Done
During this 3pm to 6pm prayer watch we must pray God’s will be done in this earth realm and in our lives. Jesus, knowing he was about to face death gave up his will in order to fulfill the will of the Father.
Our prayer should be “Not my will but Your will be done Father” We must die to flesh and self will in order to fulfill the purposes of God. We are not our own, for we have been bought with a price. Our lives cost Jesus more than we can ever know.
Pray God’s Kingdom to come and His will be done in this earth as it is in Heaven. Pray God’s will be done in our lives, our cities, our states and provinces, in our judicial system, our entire governmental system, in foreign nation affairs, and in our laws that are trying to be passed.
In this prayer watch it is important to pray that everything lines up according to the will of God.
Again Jesus cried out loudly and then died.
Unity of The Saints In Prayer and Worship
Pray The Light of Christ Be Revealed
During this watch pray that darkness will flee and the true light of Jesus Christ shines forth. When Jesus gave up the ghost, history was changed forever.
The sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for us provided a new covenant between us and the Father. Jesus victory on the cross was triumphant over hell, death and the grave.
God Is Light
This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection].
Jesus Is The Light of The Word
It was during this 3pm to 6pm prayer watch when Jesus died on the cross. Many did not recognize Him as the true Light until after he died. People are constantly seeking to be enlightened by false gods, practices and ideas. During this watch, pray that people will recognize Jesus as the True Light of the world and that will accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Access Behind The Veil Into The Holy of Holies
This is the prayer watch in which the veil was torn in the temple giving us access into the Holy of Holies. As we go boldly before the throne of God in prayer, we can ask our Father for anything in His son Jesus name and it shall be given to us. Because of Christ, we now have access and an open door to the Father through His Son and are made apart of the royal priesthood. We are called out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Pray For Resurrection Life
When Jesus died on the cross this gave God’s people resurrection life in Him. When Jesus was raised from the dead, they too went into Jerusalem where many people witness them alive again. We are the children of God and part of the resurrection. Pray for a spiritual resurrection in the lives of God’s people and the breath of Holy Spirit to come into each believer. Jesus is alive and so is His church!
The graves opened, and many of God’s people who had died were raised from death. They came out of the graves. And after Jesus was raised from death, they went into the holy city, and many people saw them.
Pray For A Great Army of Women To Arise
During this prayer watch, the Bible mentions a large number of women who witnessed the crucifixion and later went Jesus grave. These women ministered and served Jesus during His time on earth. Pray for Godly women to arise, come out of the shadows into the forefront and proclaim the Good News.
It was the women who had arisen to go anoint Jesus body at the burial. The angels gave the women the message that Jesus had risen from the dead and told them to go back and tell His disciples.
God has a particular love for women and He is raising up a mighty army of women in these last days to proclaim His word. Just as Jesus has His army of women proclaiming His word, Satan has an army of women as well who are under the influence of the Spirit of Jezebel. During this prayer watch, pray that God’s daughters will arise, carry the good news and proclaim His Holy name throughout the earth.
Psalm 68:11
The Lord provided the message. The women who proclaimed it were a great army.
Faith For Healing And Miracles
This is the hour to pray for healing and miracles to take place.
One afternoon Peter and John went to the temple for the three o’clock prayer. As they came to the entrance called the Beautiful Gate, they were captured by the sight of a man crippled from birth being carried and placed at the entrance to the temple. He was often brought there to beg for money from those going in to worship. When he noticed Peter and John going into the temple, he begged them for money.
Peter and John, looking straight into the eyes of the crippled man, said, “Look at us!” Expecting a gift, he readily gave them his attention. Then Peter said, “I don’t have money, but I’ll give you this—by the power of the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk!”
Peter held out his right hand to the crippled man. As he pulled the man to his feet, suddenly power surged into his crippled feet and ankles. The man jumped up, stood there for a moment stunned, and then began to walk around! As he went into the temple courts with Peter and John, he leapt for joy and shouted praises to God.
Pray For Angelic Visitations and Open Visions
This is the prayer watch where the door for angelic visitations and visions are open to believers. As we pray and worship the Lord, He will answer by His will through visions and angelic messengers.
At that time there was a Roman military officer, Cornelius, who was in charge of one hundred men stationed in Caesarea. He was the captain of the Italian regiment, a devout man of extraordinary character who worshiped God and prayed regularly, together with all his family. He also had a heart for the poor and gave generously to help them.
One afternoon about three o’clock, he had an open vision and saw the angel of God appear right in front of him, calling out his name, “Cornelius!”
Cornelius replied, “Four days ago I was fasting and praying here in my home at this very hour, three o’clock in the afternoon, when a man in glistening clothing suddenly appeared in front of my eyes. He said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayers. Your generosity to the poor has been recorded and remembered in God’s presence.
Pray For Lives To Be Converted To Christ
This is the prayer watch where we pray for lives to be converted to Christ. Pray for the souls of mankind to come to Jesus and that the gospel of Christ will reach everyone around the world.
Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, And he looked at Jesus as He walked along, and said, Look! There is the Lamb of God!
The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Him.
But Jesus turned, and as He saw them following Him, He said to them, What are you looking for? [And what is it you wish?] And they answered Him, Rabbi—which translated is Teacher—where are You staying?
He said to them, Come and see. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they remained with Him that day. It was then about the tenth hour (about four o’clock in the afternoon).
Pray Against Idleness In The Kingdom
And about the eleventh hour (five o’clock) he went out and found still others standing around, and said to them, Why do you stand here idle all day? They answered him, Because nobody has hired us. He told them, You go out into the vineyard also and you will get whatever is just and fair.
It was at this time that Pharoah refused to let God’s people go so they could worship him. In fact he made their work load harder. This is the same way many employers treat their workers in today’s society. We don’t want to find ourselves more busy in the world than we are in the Kingdom of God. A typically workday is from 9am -5pm (the eleventh hour) Use this eleventh hour of the day at 5pm to worship God on your way home from work. We must continue the work of the Lord as long as we can and not get idle in these end times.
Proverbs 19:15
Laziness casts one into a deep sleep [unmindful of lost opportunity], and the idle person will suffer hunger.
Use this hour at 5pm to sing praises to His name and pray in the spirit. If your on public transportation read your word and meditate on His goodness while worshiping Him in your spirit. This is the last hour of the day before the night watches begin. It also represents the hour before night when spiritual darkness covers the earth. The scripture says “We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work.”
Don’t Give Pharoah Your Worship Time
A trick of the enemy if you are not lazy is to keep you always working and extremely busy. The enemy will accuse you of being lazy and lead you into becoming a workaholic where you never make time for prayer and the things of God. Both of these are extreme and without balance. During this watch, pray that the Lord will give you balance in your work and your relationship with Him.
Then Aaron and Moses said, “The God of the Hebrews has talked with us. So we beg you to let us travel three days into the desert. There we will offer a sacrifice to the Lord our God. If we don’t do this, he might become angry and destroy us. He might make us die from sickness or war.”
But Pharaoh said to them, “Moses and Aaron, you are bothering the workers. Let them do their work. Go back to your own work! There are very many workers, and you are keeping them from doing their jobs.”
That same day Pharaoh gave a command to the slave masters and Hebrew foremen. He said, “You have always given the people straw to use to make bricks. But now, tell them they have to go and find their own straw to make bricks. But they must still make the same number of bricks as they did before. They have gotten lazy. That is why they are asking me to let them go. They don’t have enough work to do. That is why they asked me to let them make sacrifices to their God. So make these people work harder. Keep them busy. Then they will not have enough time to listen to the lies of Moses.”
