What does it mean to be saved and what is the prayer of salvation? Salvation is the act of being delivered from sin, death and destruction. The prayer of salvation is the confession we make with our mouths that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the third day and now sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven. There He makes intercessions for us continuously according to Romans 8:34

We repent of our sins and ask Him to come into our lives to be both our Lord and Savior. The prayer of salvation and repentance must come from a broken heart and a contrite spirit. It is because of our confession of salvation through Jesus Christ, that we are made free from the law of sin and death.

Scripture References:

Romans 10:8-10
For salvation that comes from trusting Christ—which is what we preach—is already within easy reach of each of us; in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths. If you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation.

The Prayer of Salvation

Heavenly Father,

The word says that if I confess with my mouth and believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that You raised Jesus from the dead, then I shall be saved from my sins.

Father I come to you now in your son Jesus name as I humbly acknowledge that I am a sinner and I must be saved from my sins. I ask that you forgive me of all my sins and I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood for me on the cross at Calvary.

I believe Jesus died on the cross, and rose again on the third day. As I willing turn away from the world and from my sins. I ask Jesus to come into my life as Lord and Savior over my life. Wash me, cleanse me and purify me from all unrighteousness.

I receive salvation today in Jesus mighty name. Thank God

Amen!

The Price of Our Sins

Prayer of Salvation Pic - The Price of Our Sins

Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins, so we didn’t have to. God the Father offered His Beloved Son as our sacrifice and He paid the price for us on Calvary. Christ redeemed our souls by carrying the load of our sins and burdens to the cross.  Jesus was therefore punished instead of us and so the law can no longer punish us. The price that Jesus paid for our lives with His made us free from the law of sin and death. Jesus was made a curse for us by hanging on the cross because it is written that anyone who hangs on a tree or a cross is cursed, hated and punished. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Scripture References:

Romans 8:34
Who then will condemn us? Will Christ? No! For he is the one who died for us and came back to life again for us and is sitting at the place of highest honor next to God, pleading for us there in heaven.

Jesus made atonement for our sins by shedding His blood and dying for us on the cross at Calvary. Jesus shed His blood on the cross as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of the world. In addition, the word of God says that we were bought with a price and Jesus paid the price for our lives. The blood of Jesus confirmed the covenant between God and his people. The Book of Galatians tells us that Christ bought us with His blood and made us free from the Law.

Scripture References:

Ephesian 2:1-10

At one time you were dead because of your sins.
You followed the sinful ways of the world
And obeyed the leader of the power of darkness.
He is the devil who is now working in the people who do not obey God.

At one time all of us lived to please our old selves.
We gave in to what our bodies and minds wanted.
We were sinful from birth like all other people
And would suffer from the anger of God.

But God had so much loving-kindness.
He loved us with such a great love.
Even when we were dead because of our sins,
He made us alive by what Christ did for us.

We Are Seated In Heavenly Places

You have been saved from the punishment of sin by His loving-favor.
God raised us up from death when He raised up Christ Jesus.
He has given us a place with Christ in the heavens.
He did this to show us through all the time to come
The great riches of His loving-favor.
He has shown us His kindness through Christ Jesus.

For by His loving-favor
You have been saved from the punishment of sin through faith.
It is not by anything you have done.
And It is a gift of God.
It is not given to you because you worked for it.
If you could work for it, you would be proud.
We are His work.
He has made us to belong to Christ Jesus so we can work for Him.
He planned that we should do this.
