Naturally Blind
I’ve been asked over and over
Am I ready for this ride
And my answer remains the same
Yes, but I’m taking it Naturally Blind
What exactly am I saying about this trip
My new journey, this incredible ride of mine
I am saying
I don’t want
To control, drive or fly
I want to trust and follow God
I want to take this ride Naturally Blind
If it’s one thing during this life of mine I’ve learned
Is no matter what happens in life
One day it will be my turn
I’ve dealt with death, sickness, rejection, heartache and pain
But, through it all Gods love was the only thing that remained the same
HE TAUGHT ME:
Who he was & why I needed to trust
He would never leave me, so there was no need to give up
Patience and long-suffering when I got tired and felt, ok it’s time for things to change
To stop calling on different people and start calling on his name (Jesus)
Prayer and faith are two things I must have
What it really means for Him to be my rod and staff
How to love the unlovely mostly by using my blood because with family I had no choice but to LOVE
How to believe outside of my normal/natural scope
That during my deepest sorrow is where he works to produce my greatest growth
How to be alone without ever being lonely
How to lean and depend on His word ONLY……
But the most important thing He taught me, still rings strong and loud in my mind
That if he showed me the journey in front of me
I may abort this ride
So I have decided to take this ride with God
I’m just going to do it Naturally Blind.
Don’t misunderstand what I’m saying, because my spiritual eyes are open
If they were not, none of these words would have ever been spoken.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
