Be a Voice Not An Echo
How many times have you wanted to say something
That would allow you to take a stand
But you remain silent and God uses someone else
So you usually hear it again
You stayed quiet because you never want to hurt anyone or offend
Not ever noticing that it is your spirit moving you to say it
And it is moving you from within
It wants you to stand up and be the voice He knows He created you to be Without being overbearing, critical, judgmental or mean
I know you have heard that it is never what you say but how you say it
As long as it’s with love, kindness, gentleness and full of grace
Because God looks at the heart is what the word states.
Be the voice and not the echo
Don’t wait till you hear it over and over again
You have the God given right to speak the truth and take a stand
To stand for what is right
Don’t just claim to walk in the light
Speak the words that will give life
The voice says it once but the echo repeats it more than twice
Echo’s cannot lead, it can only repeat
You are too original to find comfort in that seat
The echo repeats what it has already heard
Be the voice when it comes to the truth of God’s word
We need to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to you
No need to be ashamed this is what true disciples are called to do
So take your sword in your hand and allow it to come from your mouth
Make sure it is first with true convictions, authority and no doubt
Because when the voice takes the stand and is raised
It is the echo that can only repeat and then it starts to fade……….
