We thank you Lord to be able to come before your presence during this 6AM – 9AM First Prayer Watch of The Day. We long to be in your presence during this times of prayer as we both meditate on and pray forth your Word.
These men are not drunk as you think. It is only nine o’clock in the morning. The early preacher Joel said this would happen. God says, ‘In the last days I will send My Spirit on all men. Then your sons and daughters will speak God’s Word. Your young men will see what God has given them to see. Your old men will dream dreams.
Understanding The Prayer Watches And Their Meaning:
During the 6AM – 9AM first prayer watch of the day, we begin our day and the sun breaks forth as it rises and gives light to the inhabitants of the earth. Jesus is the light of the world and we should pray that the light of Christ will shine through us.
It is during this first prayer watch of the day that we are to pray for the Holy Spirit to refill, refresh and renew us. It was in the morning between the hours of 6:00 am and 9:00 am that the Holy Spirit came upon the believers in the upper room.
When the Holy Spirit comes, He brings us comfort, peace, light and truth. During this first prayer watch of the day we must pray for the light of Jesus Christ to arise with the sun upon on the earth. The book of Malachi says the Sun of Righteousness will arise and bring healing that produces the joy of the Lord.
The word tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. During this prayer watch, the Lord will send us healing, joy, peace and His strength. The Holy Spirit will equip us with all the power and gifts that we need to serve others for the day whether it be on our jobs, in ministry, our family, our churches or wherever we are needed to serve.

Outpouring of The Holy Spirit:
This is the time in which the Holy Spirit came from heaven and filled the believers with the spirit of God and they began to speak in other languages. During this first prayer watch as we pray, we are to wait for the Holy Spirit to renew us with a full and fresh anointing of His Spirit each morning. Pray that the Holy Spirit will anoint you with the power to speak the truth of God’s word and that the light of Jesus will shine through you that the world we see and glorify God.It wasn’t until Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit from God the Father that He began to do ministry.
Before Jesus was tested in the wilderness, He was filled with the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit within us that gives us the ability to stand strong in our Christian walk and to effectively minister and meet the needs of others. Without the fullness of the Holy Spirit we operate in our flesh, our power and our own strength. Our flesh, power and strength will never be enough to win souls to the Kingdom of Heaven. We must always go in the power, strength and might of the Name of Jesus so that we can win the world to Christ.

Healing:
Pray during this time for the Sun of Righteousness, which is our Lord Jesus Christ to arise over us with healing in His wings. Like the rays of the sun, His healing will penetrate our very being from the inside out. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Forgiveness of Debts
It was during the first watch of the day at nine o’clock in the morning that Jesus was nailed to the cross. He suffered and bleed on the cross for the debt we owed, that it may be cancelled, we be made free and forgiven of all our sins. During this first watch of the day, we should begin our day by asking for forgiveness of any sin in our lives as well as forgiving those who have sinned against us.
Even as Jesus was nailed to the cross, He prayed for those who crucified him and asked the Father to forgive them because they didn’t know what they were doing. At the point of death, the one criminal on the cross repented and asked Jesus to remember him when He came into His Kingdom. In both His grace and forgiveness, Jesus did and He said today you will be with me in Paradise. It’s never too late to ask God for forgiveness.

Gifts of The Spirit
During this prayer watch, pray for the Holy Spirit to manifest the gifts of the Spirit and activate them in your life. When the Holy Spirit comes, He brings the gifts of the spirit with Him. On the Day of Pentecost all the believers were in one room and with one accord. Everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. As believers when we come into the presence of God whether individually or corporately with one accord, Holy Spirit will show up and manifest the gifts of the spirit.

Light of Jesus
During this prayer watch, pray that the light and truth of Jesus Christ will guide you, so that others will see that light and be drawn to it. When the light of Christ is in you, it cannot be hid. The believers of God bring light to the world and as we let our light shine, the world will see that light and receive Christ as Lord and Savior.

Spirit of Truth
During this first prayer watch of the day, pray for the Spirit of Truth to be revealed in the earth realm. The world needs the truth of God’s word in order to be free from satanic bondage and strongholds. If you are a believer and have not received the Holy Spirit as God to fill you with His spirit…He will do just what you ask. If you have been filled with the Holy Spirit already, ask God to refill you each morning so that you can go out in the fullness of the Lord.

Pray Against These Things:
During the prayer for 6AM – 9AM first prayer watch of the day, we must be diligent to pray against the works of darkness. As we transition out of the last prayer watch of the night between the hours of 3am – 6am, and we enter into this first watch of the day, the manifestation of both the acts of the wicked and the righteous will come to fruition. Let us command our morning This is the time in which we pray against the following things:

Wickedness
The scriptures tell us that wicked men and women lie in their beds at night devising evil plans to perform at the break of dawn. In the story of Amnon and Tamar we see how people devise acts of wickedness early in the morning upon their beds. Let us pray that the plans of the wicked will not succeed, but that the prayers of the righteous will avail much.

Oppression
Pray Against Wicked Crimes
In the Book of 2 Samuel we read about a story that took place within the first watch of the day. The bible gives us a scripture in the Book of Micah that warns us against those who devise wickedness on their beds and perform it in the morning within the first watch of the day. Let us pray against the wicked plans and crimes of the enemy.
Deceit and Wicked Plans
Some time later, David’s son Amnon fell in love with Tamar the beautiful sister of Absalom, who was also David’s son. Amnon was so upset over his half sister that he made himself sick. She was a virgin, and it seemed impossible in Amnon’s view to do anything to her. But Amnon had a very clever friend named Jonadab, who was David’s brother Shimeah’s son.
“Prince,” Jonadab said to him, “why are you so down, morning after morning? Tell me about it.”
So Amnon told him, “I’m in love with Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom.”
“Lie down on your bed and pretend to be sick,” Jonadab said to him. “When your father comes to see you, tell him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me some food to eat. Let her prepare the food in my sight so I can watch and eat from her own hand.’”
So Amnon lay down and pretended to be sick. The king came to see him, and Amnon told the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come and make a couple of heart-shaped cakes in front of me so I can eat from her hand.”
Crime
David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Please go to your brother Amnon’s house and prepare some food for him.”
So Tamar went to her brother Amnon’s house where he was lying down. She took dough, kneaded it, made heart-shaped cakes in front of him, and then cooked them. She took the pan and served Amnon, but he refused to eat.
“Everyone leave me,” Amnon said. So everyone left him. Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food into the bedroom so I can eat from your hand.” So Tamar took the heart-shaped cakes she had made and brought them to her brother Amnon in the bedroom. When she served him the food, he grabbed her and said, “Come have sex with me, my sister.”
But she said to him, “No, my brother! Don’t rape me. Such a thing shouldn’t be done in Israel. Don’t do this horrible thing. Think about me—where could I hide my shame? And you—you would become like some fool in Israel! Please, just talk to the king! He won’t keep me from marrying you.”

But then Amnon felt intense hatred for her. In fact, his hatred for her was greater than the love he had felt for her. So Amnon told her, “Get out of here!” “No, my brother!”she said. “Sending me away would be worse than the wrong you’ve already done.”
But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her. He summoned his young servant and said, “Get this woman out of my presence and lock the door after her.” (She was wearing a long-sleeved robe because that was what the virgin princesses wore as garments.) So Amnon’s servant put her out and locked the door after her.

Prayer For 6AM – 9AM First Prayer Watch of The Day
Father In The Name of Jesus,
We thank you for bringing us into this first prayer watch of the day. We enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise on this morning. Thank you for keeping us throughout the night and awakening us with your brand new mercies. We give You all the glory, all the honor and all the praise because You are worthy to be praised and worshiped. You are King of kings and Lord of lords and we bless Your holy name on this morning.
Father, we thank you for Your Holy Spirit who comforts, teaches, and leads us into all truth. Even in the midst of the world’s trials and troubles, You give us light and peace. Your peace keeps us firm and steadfast so that our hearts are not troubled. We are not afraid for looking after those things which are coming on the earth, but we put our trust and anchor in You Lord. In righteousness we will be established. Oppression will be far from us, so we will not be afraid. Terror will be far from us and it will never come near us.
Heal Us Lord
Heal us, O Lord, and we shall be healed; save us, and we shall be saved: for you are our praise. Jesus, you were wounded for our transgressions, You were bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon You; and with Your stripes we are healed. You canceled the record of the charges against us from the law and took it away by nailing it to the cross and we say thank you Jesus for nailing our sins to the cross, that all our sins have been forgiven.
Thank you for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit and the manifestation of Your gifts. Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon all people. May our sons and daughters prophesy. Our young men see visions, and our old men dream dreams. Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon Your servants both men and women alike
as they prophesy and proclaim the Kingdom of God in this earth realm.
Thank You Lord for abiding in us as we abide in You. Since You live, we also live. You were raised to life again, and we now have resurrection life in You. We thank You Father that in the time of trouble You hide us in Your pavilion. In the secret of Your tabernacle You hide us from all danger and set us up upon a rock. Thank You Jesus for You are the Rock of our salvation. You are our strength and our deliverer.
We Need You Lord
We need You Lord like never before to lead us and direct us during these last days. Your word says that we can come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain Your mercy, and find grace to help us in time of need. Extend Your grace and Your mercy unto Your sons and daughters on today Father and look down upon us with Your loving kindness and tender mercies. Help us to love like you love, walk like You walk and talk like You talk.
Help us to be a witness of Your love Lord. May Your glory be revealed in and through us that others may see our light shine and see the good things that we do and praise You Father. Let everything we do and say bring glory to Your name and lead others to Christ.
In Jesus Mighty name we pray. Thank you Father for both hearing our prayers and for answering. We pray all these things in Your Son Jesus mighty name. Thank God…

I am truly grateful and thankful to the Lord our God for his gift of salvation and grace. When I first began spiritual direction I found myself waking up at 3am and reading the bible and going to mass by 6:30am. I was attending mass three times a day and praying a holy hour at 3pm. I am so grateful to of been saved from the darkness and for the renewal of my mind. These watches and prayer are extremely important. The truth of the light and darkness and all of God’s word and what we are told about in that God has revealed is true, God is all truth.
