1. Leaders demand of the followers what they themselves are unwilling to do, or do first.
2. Do not encourage you to think for yourself, but instead to be a blind follower.
3. Will imply that God has to speak to them first about YOUR life before speaking to you.
4. Financially abusive and manipulative.
5. Theologically extreme and operate in a strong religious spirit.
6. Require you to ask permission before visiting other churches or gatherings.
7. Discourages reading and studying books that will enhance your knowledge of God.
8. You are deathly afraid of missing church for any circumstance.
9. If your relationships are controlled and invaded.
10. When you are called rebellious for asking questions.
11. Curses you for leaving or outgrowing a church.
12. Threaten you with curses for questioning their character or judgement.
13. The leaders are very flirtatious with the opposite sex or even the same sex.
14. It’s a very secretive culture. What goes on in this house stays in this house.
15. Leadership must have confirmation for all your personal decisions.
