The Great Apostasy that the Bible spoke of is not coming, it’s already here! The Word of God warns us that in the last days many would stop following the teachings of Christ but instead follow after doctrines of devils. There are many ministry gifts that started out in the way and have now gone astray. Many teachers, pastors, prophets and ministers of the word have sadly fallen from the faith.
The even sadder report is that many have a large following that they are also leading down the path of destruction. They have become blind leaders leading blind people. It is because of this that both the leaders and the people will fall into a ditch of destruction together. It is extremely important that we as believers read and study the Word of God for ourselves. Ask Holy Spirit to teach you all things and bring you into truth and understanding.
John 16:13-14
When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, he shall guide you into all truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He shall praise me and bring me great honor by showing you my glory.
The Lies They Tell
Many well known Christian leaders that I respected and listened to their ministries over the years have completely went off the path of righteousness and fallen into the ditch of destruction. They no longer preach Christ but another doctrine of devils.
2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets, too, in those days, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly tell their lies about God, turning against even their Master who bought them; but theirs will be a swift and terrible end.
Here are just a few of the lies being taught by these false teachers and false prophets. When we know for ourselves what the Word of God says, then when a lie is presented to us, we will not be deceived. Read your Word daily, Pray for understanding and ask Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth
- Jesus did not come to earth to be the Messiah – John 4:25-25
- Jewish people did not reject Jesus as the Messiah – John 1:10-12
- Christians don’t have a covenant with God – Ephesians 3: 5-6
John 4:25-25
The woman said, “Well, at least I know that the Messiah will come—the one they call Christ—and when he does, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus told her, “I am the Messiah!”
John 1:10-12
But although he made the world, the world didn’t recognize him when he came. Even in his own land and among his own people, the Jews, he was not accepted. Only a few would welcome and receive him. But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust him to save them.
Ephesians 3: 5-6
No one knew about this mystery until God’s Spirit told it to his holy apostles and prophets. And the mystery is this: Because of Christ Jesus, the good news has given the Gentiles a share in the promises that God gave to the Jews. God has also let the Gentiles be part of the same body.

The Great Apostasy
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is [bsanctified by the word of God and prayer.
A Good Servant of Jesus Christ
If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed. But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 1These things command and teach.
Take Heed to Your Ministry
Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 1Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
