Jesus Warns About Offending Children
Jesus loves children and He told us to not forbid them to come to Him. As parents we should train our children up in the ways of the Lord. The Word of God warns us as parents to not cause your children to sin, but instead teach them what you have learned from the Lord. We begin this teaching even from the womb.
When we teach our children in the ways of the Lord, we keep them on the right path. We teach them about God’s laws and His love for us. We teach them to follow and obey the scriptures for this will preserve and protect us from danger. It will save their lives.The prophet Isaiah said The Lord called me before I was born. He called my name while I was still in my mother’s womb.
Yes, children are special to the Lord God and they have a purpose just like you and I. Jesus told His followers that unless they humble themselves like a little child, they will never enter the Kingdom. Children submit and trust us as parents in humility. They rely on us to teach them right from wrong. We are to be the same way with our Heavenly Father.
About that time the followers came to Jesus and asked, “Who is the greatest in God’s kingdom?”
Jesus called a little child to come to him. He stood the child in front of the followers. Then he said, “The truth is, you must change your thinking and become like little children. If you don’t do this, you will never enter God’s kingdom. The greatest person in God’s kingdom is the one who makes himself humble like this child.
“Whoever accepts a little child like this in my name is accepting me.
Jesus Warns About Causes of Sin
“If one of these little children believes in me, and someone causes that child to sin, it will be very bad for that person. It would be better for them to have a millstone tied around their neck and be drowned in the deep sea. I feel sorry for the people in the world because of the things that make people sin. These things must happen, but it will be very bad for anyone who causes them to happen.
