In today’s daily word, we read in the book of Psalms a question posed. The question asks who may worship in the sanctuary of the Lord. Who is it that can enter His presence on His holy hill? It goes on to list ten characteristics of a person who can go before the Lord blameless in worship. It speaks of the the type of believer who can enter the presence of God, and that is pleasing to the Lord God.
Today’s daily word is a great reminder and self check of the kind of lives the Lord expects His children to live. As believers, we are to live the same type of life that Jesus lived in righteousness, holiness and sincerity.
Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
Speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
Or harm their neighbors
Or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise flagrant sinners,
And honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
And keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who lend money without charging interest,
And who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.
