There Is a Change Coming
Here I stand
With lifted hands
As I draw nigh to God
Believing all things
He has said and promised to me
As I stand and confess and receive all my dreams
Looking back at all the years
That was bound in fear
Only to have produced sadness and tears
Now moving forward
Leaving the past behind
With no rush in my steps
I am walking right in time
Acknowledging my mistakes
Forgiving my past
Knowing by doing this
My future won’t collapse
Now I can smile & love the people who hurt me
Understanding they couldn’t walk into my destiny
Because of their unbelief in me that only spiritually can one see
I know now I didn’t breakdown, I was breaking out
Because God had pardoned my past and is permitting my present
And forever protecting my future …..
With no more guilt and shame, I await my new name
Finally embracing the change, I know now what they mean
When they say you can sing in the rain…
I love my new song
