Spirit of Leviathan Series – Do Not Love The World
I began this series back in 2014 here on Royal Girlz Ministry. I wanted to revise and update it for our readers because of its relevance to the time we are living in now. In today’s daily word Spirit of Leviathan Series – Do Not Love The World, we read about the dangers of loving the world and the pride of life. When we operate in the pride of life, we become too proud of the things we have acquired and obtained in this life.
It’s good to have nice things in life, but when we begin to worship our “things” above God, we are operating in the Spirit of Leviathan. This type of pride causes us to look at the things we have acquired in this life as our God. Lifting up anything above God causes us to operate in idolatry.
Let’s remember that Leviathan is the king over all the children of pride. We must be careful not to seek after the things of this world for they are devilish, self-serving and do not come from God. When we seek after God and His righteousness, every good and perfect thing that we need will be provided to us.
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Job 41:34
He beholds every high thing;
He is king over all the children of pride
