The Consequences of Rotten Nations
As I read this scripture I couldn’t help but think about the state of our nation; The United States of America as it stands today. Today’s words of wisdom speaks of rotten nations and the consequences of the transgressions of a rebellious land. All over the world we are seeing an uprising against wicked governments and leadership. The people are revolting and rising up against the wicked regimes.
Wise leadership knows how to govern well under the Wisdom of God. It is under God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding that a righteous leader will lead a nation well and keep it from ruins. As we read this scripture this evening, let us be reminded to pray for the leaders not just in the United States of America, but for the leaders all across this world that they may govern themselves accordingly under the mighty hand of God All Mighty.
Proverbs 28:1-3
When a country is lawless [or rebels; or transgresses], it has one ruler after another [or many rulers/leaders]; but when it is led by a leader [person] with understanding, it continues strong [or has lasting order].
