The Widespread Epidemic

According to Federal Health officials, this years 2018 flu epidemic has been the most widespread and worse strain we have seen. Have you experienced any flu symptoms such as:

We have been told to do a number of things such as wash your hands, avoid close contact with sick people, cover your mouth and nose when sneezing and coughing, stay at home when you are sick and by all means get the flu vaccine. These are all very good practical measures to prevent catching the flu. I personally do not like flu shots and even health officials are telling us that the flu vaccines aren’t perfect, but there is one cure that is perfect and that’s God’s Word.

What Is REALLY Going On?

The question many are asking is “Why is there such a widespread of this year’s flu accompanied with high deaths.” The Bible warns us in the book of Matthew 24 that in the last days there would be an increase in these types of diseases and epidemics (a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time)

 As He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”

Understanding The Times & Seasons

As believers we must be able to discern the time we are in. We are living in the last of the last days which are called perilous times in the Bible and Christ is soon to return. This is a season where we will see an increase in lawlessness and the love of many grow cold. I often hear people say:

• We have to wait for this and that to take place before the rapture occurs.
• Jesus is not coming back right now…that’s what they always say every year.
• I have been hearing that Jesus is coming back since I was a child and it still hasn’t happened.
• These signs don’t mean anything. We have always had earthquakes and war and sickness…this is no different.

Maybe you have heard these statements made by those you know, or you yourself may have uttered these words and wondered what’s so different now. But in actuality it is quit different. We have seen an increase in ALL of these signs come together at the same time. Yes there has always been famine around the world and earthquakes and war and racial divides and tension, but NEVER have we seen it all at the same time and an increase in frequency and strength. It is much like a woman in travail waiting for her child to be born. The contractions come closer and get more painful the closer she gets to delivery.  As believers we must remember that we walk by faith and not by sight. We do not operate by fear. Fear will cancel out faith every time and as the scriptures say “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” We must not allow the things we see coming upon our world to make us afraid and doubt God. This is our time to firmly stand on the very Word that many of us preach to our congregations, share with our family, friends and co-workers on a daily basis. We cannot operate in both the realm of fear and faith.  It is time to choose a side. Whose side are you on?

Natural And Spiritual Preventives

The Word of God is our preventive medicine against any sickness, infectious disease and plagues. We must also understand that this fight is both natural and spiritual. We can prevent much of our sickness in the natural by making sure we stay healthy by wrapping up in cold weather, eating right, taking your multi-vitamins, and by taking extra Vitamin C and Zinc supplements.

There are many different kinds of supplements on the market but Airborne is my favorite. It comes in effervescent or chewable tablets. I prefer the effervescent tablets and just add it to my water for either a hot or cold drink.
