1 Corinthians 13:4-5
Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong.

Unforgiveness

Love is forgiving. It does not hold grudges or remember wrongs done against it. When we forgive others, it releases us from the sin of unforgiveness. Unforgiveness is a sin that keeps many believers in bondage and unable to move on in their lives. The Bible talks about the importance of forgiving and not holding grudges against others. When we  won’t forgive others and release them from their sin of offense, God will not forgive us and release us from our sins of offense against Him.

Matthew 6:14-15
In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can’t get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part.

If you are still holding grudges against someone for an offense you must release it in order to be free. Sometimes we think holding a grudge against someone else is hurting them, but truthfully it is hurting both you and the other person. Let go of the grudge, forgive and walk in freedom today.
