There is no other way by which man can be saved except through Jesus Christ. Today I want to talk about how to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. Salvation is the restorative work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ laid down His life as a ransom for you and me to redeem us from the law of sin and death. The word of God says this in the Book of Luke “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to save his people. Our God has given us a mighty Savior from the family of David his servant. Jesus is our Savior and our salvation.
Acts 4:12
Jesus is the only one who can save people. His name is the only power in the world that has been given to save anyone. We must be saved through him!”
Receive Salvation By Faith
The scriptures tell us that without faith it is impossible to please God. It is by faith that we receive salvation through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Word of God that came to earth wrapped in flesh and He is the Living Word. You can find this teaching in 2 Timothy. You have known the Holy Scriptures since you were a child and these Scriptures are able to make you wise. And that wisdom leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by God. And all Scripture is useful for teaching and for showing people what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for correcting faults and teaching the right way to live.”
What Must I Do To Be Saved
Your question today may be the same as the jailor who guarded Paul and Silas in the prison. What must I do to be saved? He saw the miraculous works of God and how he saved and delivered His followers from their enemies. Jesus is our light and salvation. He is waiting to deliver you from the prison of sin, death and darkness and translate you into His marvelous light. Are you ready?
Acts 16:25-40
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing songs to God. The other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was an earthquake so strong that it shook the foundation of the jail. All the doors of the jail opened, and the chains on all the prisoners fell off. The jailer woke up and saw that the jail doors were open. He thought that the prisoners had already escaped, so he got his sword and was ready to kill himself. But Paul shouted, “Don’t hurt yourself! We are all here!”
The jailer told someone to bring a light. Then he ran inside and, shaking with fear, fell down in front of Paul and Silas. Then he brought them outside and said, “Men, what must I do to be saved?”
They said to him, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved—you and all who live in your house.” So Paul and Silas told the message of the Lord to the jailer and all the people who lived in his house. It was late at night, but the jailer took Paul and Silas and washed their wounds. Then the jailer and all his people were baptized. After this the jailer took Paul and Silas home and gave them some food. All the people were very happy because they now believed in God.
The Lord Is Calling You
The day that you hear the voice of the Lord calling you is your day of salvation, do not harden your heart to Him. God loves you and He is waiting for you with open arms. Don’t put off your salvation to another day and time, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us. It does not matter what you have done, He loves you with an everlasting love, so you can come to Jesus just as you are with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. He will save you, deliver you and clean you up, redress you in a robe of righteousness and crown you with a diadem upon your head. The Book of Romans makes it very clear and simple on how to receive salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved. Yes, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved.
Today Is Your Day of Salvation
The Lord Jesus is calling you today out of darkness and to be translated into His marvelous light. Below you will find a link to the prayer of salvation that you can pray right now. God says, “I heard you at the right time, and I gave you help on the day of salvation.” I tell you that the “right time” is now. The “day of salvation” is now. – 2 Corinthians 6:2
