Bishop TD Jakes The Spellbreaker is a warning to the church and it’s leaders. In 2005, Bishop TD Jakes preached a message entitled “The Spellbreaker” in Atlanta, GA at Bishop Eddie Long’s church. In this message, Bishop Jakes spoke of tearing down strongholds, being delivered from perversion, demonic spirits and generational curses.
It was 5 years later that Bishop Eddie Long was accused of sexual abuse involving some young men in his congregation. Bishop Long was given a prophetic warning through the message preached by Bishop TD Jakes. The warning was sent for him to get his house in order and repent. God gave him time to do so before the fall occurred. It took 5 years after this message was preached before God exposed his sin publicly to the world.

God’s Grace
The number five is grace manifested and operated by the hand of God in a person’s life or in a ministry. God sent Bishop Jakes to New Birth to prophesy and speak a warning to this leader. Even though the message was given to the entire congregation, God spoke to the heart of the leader about his secret sin and it appears Bishop Eddie Long did not listen and obey.
The spirit of pride will trick us into thinking that we will never get caught or exposed in our sin. It is a warning to all those who represent the body of Christ to not be misled or tricked by the enemy. You will always reap what you sow and God will not be mocked. God knows all and He sees all.

They say, “The LORD doesn’t see it. The God of Jacob doesn’t even pay attention to it.”
Leaders Are Held To A Higher Standard
The part that real grieves the body of Christ is that when these things are named among the church and especially the leaders, it does not represent Christ and the character of Christ. When the world looks unto the church they are looking for something different!!!
They are looking for
Hope not hype
Love not lust…
Faith not fear…
They are looking for God!!!
We must be true to our faith and represent Christ as true ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.

But the servant who does not know what his master wants, and yet does something for which he deserves a whipping, will be punished with a light whipping. Much is required from the person to whom much is given; much more is required from the person to whom much more is given.
It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Some sinful men have come into your church without anyone knowing it. They are living in sin and they speak of the loving-favor of God to cover up their sins. They have turned against our only leader and Lord, Jesus Christ. Long ago it was written that these people would die in their sins.
