Arise and Eat
I wanted to share this word with the body of Christ. I encourage you today to arise and eat! In talking to other saints, I have heard and experienced myself an increase of fatigue and exhaustion. It is a tiredness that is not normal for many and cannot be slept away.
As I inquired of the Lord, Holy Spirit led me to the story of Elijah in the Book of 1 King. The Lord said “Many of my children are battling the Spirit of Jezebel whether they are aware of it or not.” Some of us are on the front line in direct combat while others are in the back, but they are YET on the battlefield. If you are a prophet, or have a ministry where you call righteousness, truth and holiness right and you call lying, false prophets, false teaching, perversion and anything antichrist wrong then YOU WILL be attacked by this spirit.
Arise and Eat Scripture
1 Kings 19:1-8
King Ahab told Jezebel everything that Elijah did and how Elijah had killed all the prophets of Baal with a sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah and said, “I swear that by this time tomorrow, you will be just as dead as those prophets. If I don’t succeed, may the gods do the same or worse to me.”
When Elijah heard this, he was afraid. So he ran away to save his life. He took his servant with him, and they went to Beersheba in Judah. Then Elijah left his servant in Beersheba and walked for a whole day into the desert. Then he sat down under a bush and asked to die. He said, “I have had enough, Lord! Take my life. I am no better than my ancestors.”
Then Elijah lay down under the bush and went to sleep. An angel came to him and touched him. The angel said, “Get up and eat!” Elijah looked around, and by his head there was a cake that had been baked over coals and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then went back to sleep.
Later the Lord’s angel came to him again, touched him, and said, “Get up and eat! If you don’t, you will not be strong enough to make the long trip.” So Elijah got up. He ate and drank and felt strong. Then Elijah walked for 40 days and nights to Mount Horeb, the mountain of God.
Arise and Eat!
I encourage you to not give up, but ARISE AND EAT! As we feel our strength leaving us and we say “I’m tired…It is enough”, this is the time for us to run back to our closets, shut the door behind us, rest in the Lord then Arise and Eat!
I encourage you today to continue to speak forth truth in love. Your voice is bringing forth life. Continue to let your light shine before men…others will see your good works and glorify the Father. Continue to go into dark places, your light will penetrate the darkness and lead others into truth and paths of righteousness.
