Today I want to give you 7 reasons to work from home in 2022. I have been a business owner and entrepreneur for over 25 years now and started out with my own daycare business.
Later in entrepreneur journey, I started my online gift basket business in addition to marketing and blogging. I understand the importance and benefits of having your own business, digging wells and creating multiple streams of income especially in the time we are currently living in.
Since 2020 and the start of the pandemic there has been a major increase in people looking to start their own business and work from home. I am a firm believer in having your own business and something where you can generate multiple streams of income even if you decide to work a 9-5. Here are my top 7 reasons to work from home in 2022 and beyond.
1. Be Your Own Boss
My number one of the 7 reasons to work from home in 2022 is that you can be your own boss. There is so much freedom in being your own boss and having a business that you can call your own. However, being your own boss comes with a lot of responsibility and requires a lot of discipline.
You must set business expectations, business hours and boundaries. Setting boundaries for yourself will ensure that you have a successful business that will grow, and be prosperous without burning you out in the end.
2. Set Your Own Hours
Another benefit when choosing to work from home is that you can set your own hours. Many people find that choosing hours early in the morning before the day gets hectic or when the children are asleep and the house is still works best for them. Setting your own hours allows you to work without distraction and gives you the freedom to do other things in your life without being on a 9-5 set schedule.
3. Homeschooling Your Children
If you have school age children and have considered homeschooling, then working from home may be a great option for you. Surveys showed that there was a significant increase in homeschooling in the Fall of 2020. Many parents, especially Christian parents are pulling their children out of the public school system and opting to homeschool them.
Balancing work from home and homeschooling may be a bit challenge, but it is one that many parents are wiling to work through. Making sure that our children stay safe and are taught biblical principals is important to many parents so homeschooling is becoming the popular choice in many households.
4. Spend More Time With Family
Spending more time with my family has always been one of my top reasons for having my own business and working from home. When you have your own business, you don’t have to worry about how much vacation time you are allotted per year from a 9-5. Working from home allows you the opportunity to be more present in the home and spend more quality time with your family. Working from home gives you the freedom of going on more family vacations, building memories and enjoying the things that matter most in life.
5. Pay Off Debts
One of the top things to do on most people ‘s list in life is to pay off debt and be financially free. Having your own business and working from home gives you the opportunity to increase your income and become financially free from bills and creditors. By generating multiple streams of income, you can pay off all your debt, build your credit and start doing the things you have been dreaming of like buying that new home.
6. Job Security
Job security has always been a pro to having your own business and working from home but now more so than ever. Over the past 2 years, we have seen companies fire employees for not complying with medical choices and forced off their jobs because they won’t comply with taking the vaccine. More than ever, people are looking to start their own business and work from home to secure an income for them and their families. By having your own business, you don’t have to concern yourself with whether you will be fired because of your personal choices or spiritual beliefs.
7. Do What You Love
Working from home allows you to find your own niche and do what you love. What is a niche? A niche is a comfortable or suitable position in life or employment where you thrive. In other words it’s your passion and what you love to do. Your passion for a thing will drive you to do it even if you weren’t making money from it. God has blessed us all with gifts and talents and our passion just comes natural to us. What is your passion? Do you enjoy reading books or writing articles. Maybe you are on the artistic side and enjoy graphics and fashion design. I think most of us women can say we all have a passion to shop! Whatever it is that you enjoy doing, there is a niche and a work from home business or job waiting out there just for you.
