In today’s daily word I want to talk about the virtuous woman and her home. The virtuous woman according to the Bible is shown to us in Bible verses within the Book of Proverbs. This description of a virtuous woman is mad clear to us from the very beginning of the scripture that she is hard to find and her worth is far above rubies.
In a world where women are demanding to be the head of everything, God reminds us that He created women as beautiful, strong and powerful reflections of Himself. Women are like no other created beings on this earth. God took the dust from the ground and created both man and the animals but when he created woman, He used the rib from the man to make her. He took something out of man to create her.

The Power of The Virtuous Woman

God didn’t just use any part from Adam to create woman – He used the rib. The function of the ribs is to surround the lungs and the heart, while serving as an important means of protection for these vital organs. As a wife we are to protect the very life and heart of our husbands through prayer and love.

God gives women, wives and mothers an unusual strength that only comes from Him. We have the power to war, cry out to God and change things. He created Eve as a help to her husband Adam, not to control him but to love him, work with him and be one with him.  This sounds a lot like the relationship that Christ has with His bride. Embrace your purpose today as woman, wife and mother. God has an awesome plan for your life and you too are a virtuous woman.

Genesis 2:23
And the man said,
“Finally! One like me, with bones from my bones and a body from my body. She was taken out of a man, so I will call her ‘woman.’”

The Virtuous Woman And Her Home

How hard it is to find the perfect wife
She is worth far more than ruby jewels
Her husband depends on her
He will never be poor
She does good for her husband all her life
And she never causes him trouble
She is always gathering wool and flax
And enjoys making things with her hands
She is like a ship from a faraway place
And she brings home food from everywhere
She wakes up early in the morning,
Cooks food for her family and gives the servants their share
She looks at land and buys it
And she uses the money she has earned and plants a vineyard
She works very hard
She is strong and able to do all her work

Being A Virtuous Woman

She works late into the night
To make sure her business earns a profit
She makes her own thread
And weaves her own cloth
She always gives to the poor and helps those who need it
She does not worry about her family when it snows
For she has given them all good, warm clothes
She makes sheets and spreads for the beds, and she wears clothes of fine linen

Her husband is a respected member of the city council, where he meets with the other leaders
She makes clothes and belts and sells them to the merchants
She is a strong person
And people respect her
She looks to the future with confidence
She speaks with wisdom
And teaches others to be loving and kind
She oversees the care of her house
She is never lazy

Her children say good things about her
Her husband brags about her and says,
“There are many good women, but you are the best.”
Grace and beauty can fool you
But a woman who respects the Lord should be praised
Give her the reward she deserves
Praise her in public for what she has done
